Garbe Industrial Real Estate to deliver new Amazon warehouse in Germany

Garbe Industrial Real Estate is building a new distribution centre for Amazon in Meßkirch in the Sigmaringen district of BadenWurttemberg, Germany. The 11,000m² logistics facility is scheduled for completion in autumn this year. The new property is being built on a site with a total area of almost 83,000m² in the Industriepark Nordlicher Bodensee (Northern Lake Constance Industrial Park). Bremer AG is acting as general contractor.

"The fact that we are able to realise another project for Amazon so quickly in the area of last-mile logistics is also thanks to the uncomplicated and trusting cooperation with the town of Meßkirch," said Jan Dietrich Hempel, managing director of Garbe Industrial Real Estate. The new distribution centre is planned with a hall area of around 9,600m² and around 1,500m² of office and social space.

"An important factor for the location of the site was the good connection to the transport infrastructure," emphasized Jan Dietrich Hempel. Located in the centre of the metropolitan areas of Munich, Stuttgart and Zurich, Meßkirch offers short distances to the motorway and has a direct link to the intersection of the two federal highways B311 and B313. The airports of Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen are also located in the immediate vicinity.
