Galileo Connect to build new data center park at Marne-La-Valle, France (FR)

Galileo Connect have secured all necessary planning consents for the development of a 24,000 m² data center hub at Val d'Europe, Marne-la-Vallée in France. The site is adjacent to the Arlington Business Park, a short drive from the Val d'Europe Shopping Centre and the Euro Disney Park.

Galileo Connect Val d'Europe Data Park will deliver fully fitted technical space to international standards from Q3 2011. Three 8,000 m² buildings, with eight 1,000 m² data halls per building, will provide a total of 24,000 m² of net technical space. The modular design will have independent electrical distribution, diesel rotary UPS (DRUPS) and power generation per 2,000 m² of technical space. The development will be unique in having its own on-site substation.

Project management and construction of the Data Park will be undertaken by the specialised Data Centre divisions of Sodearif, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction. Jones Lang LaSalle Paris has been retained as exclusive letting agent for the project. Galileo Connect is a specialist Data Centre developer and operator whose teams have been involved in construction of in excess of 465,000 m² of highly resilient data centre space in Europe and Asia Pacific.
