Galeria Victoria 40% leased (PL)

Approximately 40% of Galeria Victoria entertainment and retail center in Walbrzych, Poland, developed by Keen Property Partners Retail (KPP Retail), has been leased.

The world-leading commercial real estate consultants CB Richard Ellis, who are responsible for leasing the mall, have recently signed contracts for the lease of retail space in Galeria Victoria with Choco Cafe, Empik, Everest, Gatta, Greno/Mituu, Pawo, Pierre Cardin, Reporter, Scotch & Soda, Solar, Sping, Swiss, Yes and Willsoor.

Galeria Victoria will be the first modern retail, entertainment, residential and hotel complex in Walbrzych and the surrounding region, bringing the first multiplex cinema (Cinema City), restaurants and cafés and many highly-desired Polish and international retail brands to the city for the first time. Having acquired financing for this project, Keen Property Partners Retail has applied for the building permit and is currently waiting for permission to be granted to start construction.

Youth fashion stores Scotch & Soda and Reporter have leased approximately 215 m² and 199 m² respectively. Empik, the chain of multimedia stores located in Poland and in Ukraine, has leased approximately 620 m² of retail space in Galeria Victoria. 125 m² will be occupied by women's fashion chain Solar. Everest, offering top-brand shoes, has leased 90 m². The terms of all the agreements were negotiated by CB Richard Ellis, acting on KPP Retail's behalf.

"So far we have signed agreements with Carrefour, Media Expert, Cinema City, Martes Sport, Empik, Deichmann, Rossmann, SIZEER, Scotch & Soda, Reporter, 5.10.15, Vision Express, Big Star, TARANKO, Altero, Solar, Megapunkt, Wójcik, Apart, Everest, Pierre Cardin, Pawo, Gatta, Yes, Greno/Mituu, Choco Cafe, Triumph, MARHABA, Willsoor, Sferis, Sping, Orange, Inmedio and Swiss. Many of these brands will enter Walbrzych for the first time. The development process of Galeria Victoria is progressing as planned. The construction works will start as soon as we have received the building permit, which is expected to happen at the beginning of 2009. The grand opening of Galeria Victoria is planned for spring 2010," he adds.

The two-story mall will house a Carrefour hypermarket (4,600 m²) and approximately 180 shops, giving the people of Walbrzych access to well-known and popular clothing brands, a home furnishing outlet (7,000 m²), the Media Expert electronics store (approximately 2,500 m²), and other services located in a retail area of over 43,000 m². In the recreation zone (2,500 m²), the mall's customers will find a modern Cinema City multiplex cinema with six screens, and a wide range of restaurants, snack bars and coffee shops. 1,390 underground and aboveground parking spaces will be created for customers with cars.
