Galeria Podlaska almost 60% leased (PL)

Quinlan Private Golub, the exclusive advisor to Spirit International for the development and leasing of Galeria Podlaska, has announced that the shopping mall situated in Wysockiego Street in Bia³ystok is approximately 60% leased or reserved by letters of intent. The major mall's tenants include Carrefour, Rossmann, CCC and Tiimari.

Rossmann, the chemist chain operating 240 self-service shops in Poland, has leased 365 m² in Building B of Galeria Podlaska. CCC, the largest Polish chain of shoe shops, will occupy 358 m². Tiimari, northern Europe's leading chain of stores specialized in home and decoration, craft and hobby, gift wrapping, stationery and gift items has leased about 202 m2. The store in Galeria Podlaska will be their fourth in Poland.

"At the moment the lease agreements and letters of intent signed for Galeria Podlaska cover almost 60% of the mall's retail space", said Ma³gorzata Trzaskowska, Retail Leasing Manager of Quinlan Private Golub. "So far we have signed agreements with Carrefour, Rossmann, CCC, Tiimari, Totem, Monnari, Telepizza, Pabia, Molton, Voyage Cafe, Komputronik, Sekret, Gatta, Oroblu/Sanpellegrino, Mass, In Medio, GTI Orange, Multi Service, Play and Kantor Duet. Many of those brands will enter Bia³ystok for the first time."

Galeria Podlaska is the first retail project developed in Poland by Quinlan Private Golub, the developer, and real estate investor Spirit International. The construction of the mall began in late 2006 and is scheduled to be completed in October 2007.

Galeria Podlaska will be located in Wysockiego Street, 4 km from the city centre of Bia³ystok. This location makes the shopping gallery an ideal and convenient place to shop for the residents of three large nearby residential areas: Jaroszówka, Wysockiego and Zgody. Situated only 48 km from the Belarus border, on expressway 19, which connects Bia³ystok with the border crossing at KuŸnica, Galeria Podlaska will also be the nearest shopping destination for people visiting Poland from Belarus.

The total value of the investment is EUR 18 million (PLN 73.5 million) and the gross project area will be about 17,000 m2. The mall will consist of two buildings with a car park located in between. Galeria Podlaska will house a Carrefour hypermarket and about 50 shops with the well-known clothing brands, home furnishing outlets, electronics stores, services and restaurants located on over 13,400 m2. 480 parking spaces will be created for customers with cars. The mall's project was prepared by the leading European architects Broadway Malyan.
