Fraser Williams opens Australian office (AU)

Fraser Williams Commercial Systems, supplier of the internationally acclaimed property software solution, Horizon, is increasing its presence in the Southern Hemisphere by opening new offices in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. Horizon is used by many of the world's leading property investment companies as well as major occupiers of corporate real estate to manage all kinds of property portfolios. International customers include HSBC, Tesco, La Salle Investments, Halliburton and Intel.

Fraser Williams already has offices providing direct support and services throughout the UK and North America with further distribution outlets in Europe, Southern Africa and the Middle East.

John Cuppello, Managing Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion. "This is the perfect time for us to launch more directly into this region. We have several customers already in South East Asia and we have actually had a major user of Horizon in New Zealand since 1992. This move will allow us to support those customers more closely whilst actively pursuing new opportunities more aggressively. Our strategy is to provide a first class global service with a local flavour."

Bob Coburn, who is well respected both in property circles and the computer software industry in Australia and New Zealand, will head up the new company. "We all felt it was important to have a direct local presence in Australia" said Bob, "and having spent time in the UK training on Horizon, I am very excited by the prospect of running Fraser Williams Asia Pacific. The product is very relevant to the marketplace here and I am convinced that once people have seen its power and capabilities, they will be keen to implement it."

The move follows the merger last year between Fraser Williams and Estate Computer Systems Ltd to form the ECS Group of Companies, one of the largest developers of property and facilities management software anywhere in the world, and is part of the company's strategy to provide a truly global service to the increasingly global demands of the corporate real estate market.

Once Horizon is established, the ECS Group will also introduce its other leading software products QUBE and PlanetFM which are targeted at different sectors of the property and CAFM market.
