FPDSavills new openings In Italy and Spain

FPDSavills has continued its drive into the continental European commercial property market with the opening of two new offices in Italy and one further office in Spain.

In an aggressive move to target the increasingly lucrative southern European markets, FPDSavills has recruited Roberto Trella, formerly of CB Richard Ellis, as chief executive officer (CEO) of FPD Savills Italy to manage the Italian business. Roberto Trella opened the Richard Ellis office in Milan in 1998 and in Rome in 1992, and was previously Head of CBRE’s Italian operations until his departure in August 2002.

Lionello Rosina (executive director), Susan Trevor-Briscoe (corporate services) and Massimo Bestazza (agency manager), also all formerly of CBRE, will be based in Milan. Roberto and an agency team will be based in Rome.

In Spain, Ian Cassidy, previously managing director of Mackenzie Hill in Buenos Aires, will head up the new Barcelona office. His team will work closely with the existing Spanish office in Madrid headed by Borja Sierra.

Jeremy Helsby, chairman of FPDSavills Commercial, says: “These are very exciting new ventures for us and the recruitment of these teams will enable us to service the requirements of our many international and domestic clients who are requiring professional property advice in both Italy and Spain.

”These new ventures complement our existing European operations and strengthen our presence in the continental market. They build on the solid foundations of our French and German operations, where we are already a recognisable force.”
