Foundation stone is laid for the Panta Rhei office building at Duesseldorf Airport (DE)

Panta Rhei - everything flows - is the melodic name of this exciting office development project at the heart of Duesseldorf's Airport City. IMMOFINANZ Group is constructing the building completely under its own direction. Today marked the official foundation laying ceremony, which was held by the company together with Duesseldorf's Director of Planning and Construction, Gregor Bonin, and Christoph Blume, Speaker for the Management Board of Duesseldorf Airport.

This seven-floor office building will have nearly 10,000 m² of usable space.

"We took over the Panta Rhei project in full at the end of May. Only two weeks later we started excavation work, and in August the first lease was signed for 2,000 m². A lot has happened since that time: As you can see, the construction pit has already been excavated and the cranes have arrived. We are extremely pleased that work is proceeding this quickly, which makes it possible for us to lay the foundation stone for this extraordinary office project today.

"Here, where we are standing, the Panta Rhei building will take shape over the next 14 months and we will turn the offices over to our tenants at the end of 2013. The next contracts should be signed shortly", commented Eduard Zehetner, CEO of IMMOFINANZ Group, at the ceremony.

Gregor Bonin, Director of Planning and Construction for the city of Duesseldorf, emphasized the city's confidence in the Austrian real estate investor and developer: "I am very pleased to join in this celebration and mark the next stage of construction in the Airport City with the laying of the foundation stone for the Panta Rhei. A foundation laying ceremony points to a new beginning that is connected with great hopes and good wishes. The city of Duesseldorf is convinced that the high expectations placed by IMMOFINANZ Group in the Panta Rhei project will become reality. We would like to convey our best wishes for the further progress of construction."

Christoph Blume, Speaker for the Management Board of Duesseldorf Airport, underscored the meaning of this project for Duesseldorf Airport in his speech: "As the operator of Duesseldorf Airport, we are pleased that IMMOFINANZ Group has kept its promise: construction started immediately after the full takeover of the Panta Rhei, and today we are officially beginning the next phase with the foundation laying ceremony. It is exciting to watch the progress of construction - the project will increase the diversity of our Duesseldorf Airport City not only architectonically, but also with the expected tenants."

Panta Rhei - a symbiosis of design, engineering and comfort
This seven-floor office building at Duesseldorf Airport will have nearly 10,000 m² of usable space. Its exterior design is inspired by the Rhine River: the building's extravagant undulating glass facade provides for the optimal inflow of daylight as well as a glimpse of the surrounding landscaped areas. The building concept allows for flexible floor plans and working areas that can be adapted to meet the needs of tenants. The design options range from individual offices to open lounges.
