Foruminvest Italia has recently signed for the development of its third shopping center in Italy. The first project, a shopping center with a surface of 30,000 m² GLA with 100 shops and a football stadium for Serie C, is located in Teramo. The second project, measuring 35,000 m² GLA with 130 shops, is located in Molfetta.
The shopping center in Afragola (Naples region) comprises over 35,000 m² GLA shops and restaurants. Approximately 2,500 parking places will be realised around the shopping center.
The location where the shopping center is planned is immediately next to the A1 motorway between Rome and Naples, on the same grounds where Ikea and Leroy Merlin recently opened their doors to the public.
Under the name Gran Shopping Le Fragole the shopping center will accommodate, among others, a large hypermarket measuring roughly 10,000 m². The shopping center will comprise a total of roughly 125 shops.
Gran Shopping Le Fragole will fulfil an important role in a catchment area of 535,000 consumers. The opening of the shopping center Gran Shopping Le Fragole is planned for the fourth quarter of 2009.
