Fortis Vastgoed acquires € 110 million shopping centre (NL)

Fortis Vastgoed Beleggingen (Property Investments) has acquired the shopping centre ‘De Klanderij’ in Enschede (The Netherlands) from Foruminvest and Prowinko Groep for an amount of € 110 million. Fortis announced this yesterday.

The shopping centre will be placed in the Fortis Vastgoed Winkelfonds (Retail Fund), in which institutional investors such as Fortis ASR participate. According to the real estate fund, this acquisition is one of the largest investments over the last ten years.

The shopping centre has a retail surface of 20.400 m², with 39 apartments on top of it. The complex has been opened in October, 2003. The shopping centre has 48 tenants, amongst which H&M, Mexx, Esprit, Miss Etam, Cool Cat and Burger King.
