First phase of MAB project in Aix-en-Provence opened (FR)

The first phase of the MAB project ‘Les Allées Provençales’ in the center of the French town Aix-en-Provence has been opened. All of the shopping space of 4,500 m² is fully let. Redevco has bought the first phase and also wants to invest in the second phase of 11,000 m².

The opening of the first phase of Les Allées Provençales is a decisive step forward in the development of the large ‘Sextius-Mirabeau’ project. In the first phase 4,500 m² of shopping space and 300 parking places have been built. Monoprix is the largest tenant with approximately 2,500 m² divided over two floors. The rest of the shopping space has been let to various retail formulas.

The work on the second phase will start mid June 2004. This phase will consist of 11,000 m² of commercial space, including approximately 3,000 m² of leisure space, 1,500 extra public parking spaces and a new pedestrian area. This second phase is expected to be delivered in 2006.
