First EPRA Award for Real Estate Funds Best Annual Report

On its annual conference in Rome, Italy, EPRA, the European Public Real Estate Association, awarded its price for the Best Annual Report 2001 for listed European Real Estate Funds for the first time to IVG Immobilien.

IVG Immobilien is GermanyÂ's largest listed real estate fund with a market capitalisation of EUR 1.2 bln and a real estate portfolio EUR 3.3 bln, mainly offices and industrial real estate. The price was presented by Jan van der Vlist, director Structured Finnance of PGGM.

Nick van Ommen, Director of EPRA, stated that there was a great need for transparancy in real estate. More than 130 real estate companies support this European initiative, which started about 2.5 years ago.

The conference, the best attended sofar, was held from September 19 - 22, 2002 in Rome, Italy. EPRAÂ's Chairman this year is Tom Wernink, CEO of Corio.
