FIEGE and ND Logistics focus on PointPark Mszczonow, Poland (PL)

Two of Europe's largest logistics providers, FIEGE and ND Logistics have selected PointPark Properties' (P3) Mszczonow logistics park, located 45 kms to the southwest of Warsaw, to expand their businesses.

Fiege has signed a new leasing contract of 20,578 m² and ND Logistics has agreed an extension of existing space by 2,424 m². Together the two deals constitute total new business for PointPark Mszczonow of 23,000 m².

Piotr Was, Leasing and Development Director for P3 Poland said: "It's significant that a company with the logistics size and pan-European reach of FIEGE has decided to lease a new unit at Mszczonow. This P3 park sits squarely in the center of the great emerging logistics map of Europe as transport volumes rise and new road networks are developed linking the east and west of the continent, as well as supporting surging intra-regional trade in Central Europe and Poland's own expanding economy."

Pointpark Mszczonow comprises of three buildings totaling 95,857 m², with the potential to expand this to 318,981 m² in 12 buildings. The new unit leased by FIEGE is on top of an existing facility operated by the company at PointPark Mszczonow and takes its total leasing area at the park to 44,665 m².

In addition ND Logistics Poland expanded its existing leased area at Mszczonow by 2,424 m² taking its total leased area at the P3 park to around 4,730 m².

Tomasz Kasperowicz, Partner and Director of Industrial Agency at Colliers International, Poland said: "We are very proud to have had the opportunity to secure premium distribution space at PointPark Mszczonow for ND Logistics Poland. This additional leased space shows that ND considers Mszczonow to be one of its key strategic locations in Poland."

Pointpark Mszczonow lies on national route No. 50, the main Warsaw bypass, and the E67 international highway linking Warsaw to Helsinki via the Baltic States to the North and Prague via the Upper Silesian conurbation to the south. It is also only 15 minutes from a recently opened junction of the A2 motorway which runs west to east from the German border across central Poland and is part of the European route E30 connecting Berlin to Moscow.

Poland is gaining prominence as one of the major logistic platforms in Europe, due to the EU's gradual enlargement and the shifting of its economic balance to the east. Together with the large and expanding Polish domestic consumer market, this is generating huge investment in the country's road network and general economic infrastructure.
