Panattoni Europe, leader in industrial real estate investments, announces that construction is ongoing on the second manufacturing facility for Faurecia, one of the leading manufacturers of automotive components. The 13,600 m² investment is the developer's second project at the Legnica Special Economic Zone. The transaction was mediated by the real estate firm Colliers International.
Panattoni's second project for Faurecia
Faurecia, one of the biggest international automotive manufacturers, chose Panattoni Europe for the second time as the partner to develop their new factory. The investment is under development at the Legnica Special Economic Zone, where Faurecia already has one of its manufacturing facilities. The emerging facility has a total of 13,600 m², of which manufacturing and warehouse space amounting to approx. 12,000 m² will be used to make and store car interior decorative trim parts.
Staff and office facilities are planned on 1,600 m². Construction works progress according to the plan, with completion planned for March 2013. Upon completing the investment, Faurecia will be using a total of more than 30,000 sqm of modern industrial space, developed in collaboration with Panattoni Europe in two facilities.
Apart from the building now under development in Legnica, in 2011 Panattoni Europe completed an investment at the Kostrzyn-Sùubice Special Economic Zone in Gorzów Wielkopolski with 17,600 m² of warehouse and manufacturing space. Both projects provide for facility extension by 100% of space.
"Faurecia employs more than 6 thousand people in Poland. We currently have 9 manufacturing facilities in operation, one Research & Development Centre and Centralised Accounting for Central Europe. The choice of Panattoni was preceded by market research and negotiations with other suppliers. Panattoni offered the best terms, completion dates and the most flexible cooperation.

Panattoni, a strong partner for SEZs
Faurecia is the second company to move into the Legnica Special Economic Zone thanks to Panattoni Europe. The developer has an ongoing 30,000 m² brownfield project here, which involves adapting an existing building to the needs of a new tenant, Lear Corporation.
