Fairview Hotels, a large hotel owner and operator, has acquired the 101-room Novotel Ipswich, the 98-room Novotel Coventry, the 132-room Novotel Wolverhampton, and the 119-room Novotel Manchester West. The acquisitions bring the Fairview Collection of hotels to 961 bedrooms across nine hotels.

Fairview continues to make major investment in its hotel properties and recently entered into an agreement with Black & White Hospitality and Marco Pierre White to launch a Marco's New York Italian restaurant at its 4-star Mercure London Bloomsbury Hotel.

The hotels were acquired from Land Securities, advised by Hogan Lovells and CBRE; they are now operated by Fairview under Novotel franchises from Accor, advised by CMS. HSBC provided funding for the purchase and were advised by Blake Morgan.

Law firm Howard Kennedy has advised Fairview Hotels on this expansion programme.
