FADESA is set to build four new housing developments in the Madrid region, a total of around 3,375 new homes. FADESAs new developments in Madrid comprise a total area of more than 1.1 million square metres of living space, with the company currently putting the final touches to the four developments.
The first of these is located at El Molar, only 30 km to the north of the capital, covering a total of 779,900 m2. The second covers 201,326 m2 and is also close to the city, near the small town of Villanueva de la Cañada, whilst the third is in Junquera de Henares, in the province of Guadalajara and will occupy an area of some 95,594 m2. The final development is also in the Guadalajara area, at Horches, next to the new AVE high speed train station, and covers 62,279 m2.
These projects show a new commitment on the part of FADESA to the Madrid market for new housing, where the company is currently promoting more than 5,500 homes, with key developments such as the Ciudad Jardín at Aranjuez worthy of special mention, comprising some 2.950 homes. The commercial part of this operation has now finished, having been a stunning success, sales-wise.
FADESA is currently promoting the Comunidad Residencial Parque Colmenar, a private estate comprising 270 homes of different characteristics, from blocks of flats to terraced and semi-detached houses, located just outside Madrid with excellent transport links to the city. The development also boasts ample gardens, as well as commercial and leisure areas. Also conveniently close to Madrid is the Urbanización Solagua Casas & Golf, a development at Illescas which FADESA continues to promote. This private estate has more than 1,400 homes, as well as space reserved for a hotel, a 9 hole golf course, a shopping centre and ample gardens.
New Projects in Sanxenxo and Zaragoza
As a further sign of the companys interest in the housing market in Aragon, FADESA has planned a new development in Zaragoza a private estate with more than 2,200 homes, with an expected investment of €348 million. Las Dehesas de San Mateo is a whole new residential concept in the area, comprising a wide variety of types of housing and an 18 hole golf course located at San Mateo de Gállego, just outside the city of Zaragoza.
Meanwhile, Casas de Maralta is FADESAs first development in the Rías Baixas area of Galicia, at Sanxenxo, in the province of Pontevedra, a tourist resort in the south of the region. The project is backed by an investment of €110 million and is comprised of nearly 500 homes of different types, with Mediterranean houses, semi detached houses and flats, as well as an area set aside for social housing. The estate, located on a site with spectacular sea views and only 800 metres from one of the finest beaches in the Rías Baixas area, and is aimed at an AB1 market.
