Europa Capital announces an Emerging Europe Fund (EUR)

Europa Capital announces the establishment of its new opportunity fund, the Europa Emerging Europe Fund. It will invest over €600 million in Eastern and South Eastern European countries, including Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey and the Western Balkans.

Europa also announces that Tim Norman has joined Europa as CEO of the new fund. Tim has significant experience in Central and Eastern Europe, having invested in the region for 14 years as a Senior Banker at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.

The Europa Emerging Europe Fund is the fifth fund managed by the Principals of Europa Capital and, in accordance with its usual practice, Europa will work with local partners to source and manage transactions and deliver returns to investors. Capital commitments to the fund have been drawn from Europa's existing investors, who wish to capitalize on EU expansion and also recognise Europa management's proven record in Central and Eastern Europe.

Noel Manns, Principal at Europa Capital, commented: "We are delighted to have launched the Europa Emerging Europe Fund. Eastern and South Eastern Europe offer very exciting opportunities for investors wishing to be opportunistic in their approach and they will benefit from the great experience of Tim Norman in the Region."
