Because of Tchibos rapid growth, BLG now needs a new facility dedicated to their client. Eurinpro will develop this new logistics center for BLG who will use it mainly for Tchibo.

Christian Bischoff, Country Manager Eurinpro Germany comments: We are extremely pleased to collaborate with BLG on the development of its new logistics center. BLG is one of the biggest logistics service providers in Germany and we are convinced that the extension of their logistics activities in Bremen is an important step in the groups ever-growing logistics success story. Bremen is one of the logistics hot spots in Germany, its port being one of the most important in the world for the handling and shipments of cargo.

The tailor-made warehouse will consist of two warehouse halls, one of 40.000 m plus 800 m office space and another one of 20.030 m, comprising a total of 6 warehouse units. The warehouse will have 54 loading docks and the internal free height will be 10,5 m. Responding to BLGs specific requirements, the warehouse provides 6 canopies of 10x25 m, 12 fast-opening overhead doors (allowing for temperature control in the warehouse) and two induction circle sets. The warehouses heating and insulation system guarantee a constant temperature of 17C within the warehouse.

One of the main reasons why BLG chose to work with Eurinpro was its fast project development. In only 6 months time, Eurinpro will deliver the first three warehouse units. Construction starts beginning of May 2006. The first warehouse unit will be delivered by the end of September, after which Eurinpro will develop an extra warehouse unit every 3 weeks. The last two warehouse units will be ready for use by the end of February 2007.
