Erick van Egeraat: New Projects and Awards in the UK, France and Hungary (NL)

Before the turn of the year, Erick van Egeraat has won a new masterplanning project in Canning Town London (UK), a mixed-use project in Metz (France) and two architectural awards for his realised projects in Budapest (Hungary).

Leading a multidisciplinary team of consultancies, Erick van Egeraat has started to work on a new urban revitalisation scheme for Canning Town in the London Borough of Newham. The area lies South of the development site for the Olympic Games 2012. EEA has produced a bold and comprehensive masterplan design for the regeneration of Canning Town. It seeks to manipulate the current infrastructure to establish a new street hierarchy and a series of parks creating a revitalised urban hub for this widely forgotten area in London.

Erick van Egeraat can draw from his previous experience in developing social housing projects in the Netherlands during the 1980s and from recent urban development schemes throughout Europe.

A consortium led by ING Real Estate has selected Erick van Egeraat as architect for a plot in the Quartier de l'Amphitheatre, a mixed-use development in the French City of Metz. This is the second in a series of upcoming projects for EEA in France.
