The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is pleased to announce that Eileen Connolly, director of retail marketing for Donaldsons, London, United Kingdom, has been appointed the 2005 MAXI Chair for ICSC´s MAXI Awards. The MAXI Awards is ICSC´s international marketing competition that recognizes excellence in shopping center marketing.
During Connolly´s 22 years in the shopping industry, she has served on numerous ICSC committees most recently including, the jury chair of the ICSC Solal European Marketing Awards, a faculty member at ICSC John T. Riordan School of Professional Development, and has been a member of the ICSC European Advisory Board. In addition, she has served as a MAXI judge since 2000. As MAXI Chair, Connolly will oversee the applicants and final judging, as well as serving as master of ceremonies for the MAXI Awards.
Ms. Connolly joined Donaldsons in 1982 and pioneered the role of the shopping centre marketing manager in the United Kingdom. Ms. Connolly has worked on over 80 UK and European shopping centres offering strategic and tactical marketing advice along with consultancy services to a range of private and public sector clients.
