ECE has started a major refurbishment of Poznań City Center in Poland with an investment of around €30m to cover a broad scope of construction and fit-out measures.
The corner stone of the refurbishment project is the introduction of fashion retail specialist Peek & Cloppenburg to Poznań City Center and the Poznań market, with the opening of new 4,500m² department store. Due to open in autumn 2016, it will be the first P&C store in Poznań and facilitates the objective of the refurbishment to strengthen the fashion focus of the shopping centre.
“We are very pleased that our customers will soon be able to shop at Peek & Cloppenburg”, said Rafał Pruba, leasing director of ECE in Poland. “Introducing Peek & Cloppenburg to Poznań City Center marks the beginning of a huge restructuring of a part of the centre that aims at complementing the offers with premium fashion brands and the tenant mix with popular brands as well as improving the attractiveness of the centre.”
The refurbishment of Poznań City Center will include a major upgrade of the mall area. The result will be a stronger fashion focus including the introduction of new theme areas inspired by the fashion capitals of New York and Paris. The two fashion boulevards will create a journey through international fashion trends for customers, leading to the central plaza of Poznań City Center. The all-new fashion square will be an open space with new elements like custom-made furniture, a focal circular fountain, modern colors and individual design details, while a fashion café will strengthen its function as a meeting point for customers. The completion of the refurbishment is scheduled for autumn 2016.
