ECE and CA Immo’s Skyline Plaza Frankfurt am Main opened to the public (DE)

Skyline Plaza opened its gates to visitors on August 29 for the first time. The shopping center will provide approximately 170 specialty shops, service and gastronomy providers on a sales area of about 38,000 m² on two sales levels.

Various shop concepts have come to Frankfurt for the first time, such as the Inditex label Pull & Bear or the Italian brand Nero Giardini (shoes) with one of their first shops in Germany ever.

Other new concepts in the city are Mango Kids (KIKO), strellson, Frooters (frozen yogurt, juices), Chipotle Mexican Grill (first shop in Germany) and Osiander book store. The shopping center has already been awarded with the pre-certificate of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for the sustainable planning and the integration into the urban environment.

ECE and CA Immo realized the project together in a joint venture. Allianz took over 80% of the shopping center on completion. The remaining shares will remain with the joint venture partners ECE and CA Immo.

Alexander Otto, CEO of ECE: "Skyline Plaza makes me feel proud. It is so much more than just a center. Being the heart of the new European Quarter, it offers its visitors many opportunities which you will not find elsewhere, such as the diverse food court, the Skyline Garden as a perfect meeting point and the branch mix."

Bernhard H. Hansen, CDO of CA Immo: "Today is a great day for us. As a developer of the European Quarter we focused especially on a vivid utilization mix of living, working, shopping and leisure. Thus, Skyline Plaza plays an outstanding role. We had to find a concept which is a plus for the quarter and for Frankfurt. I am convinced that we found a concept together with the city officials which lives up to the task in a particular way, especially considering the new congress center Kap Europa."

Stefan Brendgen, CEO Allianz Real Estate: "Skyline Plaza will become a benefit for many: The visitors of the center, the retailers, the gastronomes, the entertainment and wellness providers and last not least, the insurance customers of Allianz."
