Dura Vermeer in talks with Westerlo regarding possible take-over

Dura Vermeer Infra signed a letter of intent with management and shareholders of Westerlo B.V. in Helmond. It is expected that shortly these talks will lead to a complete take-over by Dura Vermeer of Westerlo.

Westerlo, a company in road construction, drilling, cables and pipe lines, is mainly operating in South-East Brabant. The company achieved a turnover of approximately EUR 25 million during 2001. Presently it employs about 150 people. The intended take-over will have no influence on employment.

To Dura Vermeer Infra the possible take-over will result in an increased geographical market penetration and an expansion to her organization. Also, Dura Vermeer Infra deepens her speciality division in the take-over of the specialized drilling activities of Westerlo.
