DTZ Zadelhoff: Dutch commercial real estate market deteriorated

Supply of office accommodation increased by 37% to 3.3 million m² last year. Demand was about 2 million m², a drop of 15%. DTZ does not expect an economic recovery this year and therefore warns for an oversupply on the office market.

Industrial real estate demand also dropped 15% and totalled about 1.7 million m² last year. Supply increased by 30% to about 4 million m². Demand after retail real estate may have dropped slightly compared to 2000, but is still considered substantial (535,000 m²).
