Dr. Thomas Beyerle to strengthen IVG's Corporate Social Responsibility & Research department (DE)

Dr. Thomas Beyerle, one of the most successful and renowned specialists and commentators in the real estate sector, will be strengthening the management team of IVG.

He will be Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility & Research division, with Dr. Gerhard Niesslein, speaker of the board, his direct superior.

Dr. Beyerle will manage the development and implementation of a sustainability strategy for the IVG Group. In parallel, the independent market research of IVG is to be expanded considerably. By means of a sustainability-orientated attitude, the company's responsibility towards society and environment is to be increased. Already in spring 2010 IVG successfully launched the first Green Building Fund 'Premium Green Fund' with a volume of €300 million for institutional investors.

Thomas Beyerle, Phd and graduate geographer, studied geography and business management at the universities of Stuttgart and Mannheim. From 1995 to 1999 Beyerle was division head at Stuttgart-based Dr. Lübke Immobilien GmbH, a subsidiary of Dresdner Bank. From 1999 until 2002, when Dresdner Bank was taken over by Allianz he was Director and Head of the Research & Consulting division of Dresdner Bank Real-Estate Group, since 2003 of DEGI, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Immobilienfonds mbH. After the takeover of DEGI by Aberdeen Property Investors plc in 2008 he was appointed Head of Global Research for the Aberdeen Group. Until the end of 2010, Beyerle was in charge of research-based investment decisions of the internationally active real-estate investor.

For more than 10 years, Dr. Beyerle has been temporary lecturer of various real-estate colleges and training institutes. For gif. e.V. Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung he runs the working group 'market analysis and demand research'. Furthermore, he is speaker at renowned real-estate congresses and author of numerous articles and textbooks.
