Union Investment Real Estate GmbH has strengthened its management team with the addition of Dr. Heiko Beck (44), who will join the Management Board of the Hamburg-based property fund manager with effect from September 5, 2011.

Dr. Beck, whose doctorate is in law, will fill the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for financial controlling, accounting, law and taxation, as well as central property management. His extensive experience in real estate asset management was acquired as a management board member of Commerz Real AG and elsewhere.
The other members of the management team at Union Investment Real Estate GmbH are Dr. Reinhard Kutscher (Chairman of the Management Board), Dr. Frank Billand, Dr. Karl-Joseph Hermanns-Engel and Volker Noack.
