With a mix of retailers consolidated with important national and international brands, Shopping City Sibiu is reaffirmed as the main destination for shopping in Transylvania.
International perfumery chain Douglas, electronic and home appliances retailer Altex and two fashion brands, Poema and Musse, opened new stores in Shopping City Sibiu, the main retail park in Transylvania.
C&A, one of the leading international retailers, will open a store with an area of approximately 1,200 m² on September 1, 2011, in the Promenade Mall.
"The former European Capital of Culture, a city with economic development potential, Sibiu is on our list of priorities. The city has developed rapidly in recent years, due to its geographical position, the C&A brand already has a certain notoriety among the people, known for the good price/quality ratio, which is one more reason for us to choose Sibiu," says Cristian Codrea, C&A brand representative in Romania.
Shopping City Sibiu demonstrates its value on the retail market in Romania, continuing its expansion even in times period for other shopping centers. More than 3 million have been invested in a new extension that connects the hypermarkets Real and Carrefour. In this new expansion, Altex opened its doors on July 8, 2011. Over 10,000 electronics, home appliances, IT, communications and multimedia products are available at the new store.
Douglas, one of the largest retail networks in Europe, opened in Sibiu its most successful division Douglas Perfumeries. With over 1,200 stores in 23 European countries, Douglas Perfumeries offers customers a unique experience, exceptional service, a wide variety of quality products, own labels and international brands, a stimulating shopping ambiance and support from friendly and well prepared staff.
Launched in 2006, Shopping City Sibiu has grown continuously, exploiting all possibilities to expand by adding new anchor stores and improving the retail mix. With a GLA of approximately 84,000 m², Shopping City Sibiu is one of the largest retail parks in Romania, both in terms of size and diversity of shops and services.
Since January 2010, DTZ Echinox has been appointed by Argo Real Estate to handle the property management of Shopping City Sibiu and Shopping City Suceava.
