Deka Real Estate acquires two Hermes logistics centers (DE)

Deka Real Estate International has acquired two logistics centres from ECE for its German open WestInvest InterSelect fund. The assets are conveniently located in Kabelsketal, which is situated in the Halle/Leipzig metropolitan area, and in Greven near Münster-Osnabrück Airport. Together the properties boast a leasable area of 24,000m² on a plot area covering more than 162,000m². Both logistics centres were completed only this year and have been entirely leased to the logistics service provider Hermes Germany on a long-term lease. The purchase price was not disclosed.

Both properties are state-of-the-art in their construction and equipment. They are part of a series of logistics centres that ECE is currently building for Hermes. Moreover, they are based on a prototype developed by ECE which allows for a time-saving and cost-effective construction at the designated locations. The centrepiece of both logistics centres is a high-performance sorting system which can process more than 100,000 packages per day. The packages are delivered and picked up through up to 100 dock doors. The logistics centres will both receive the DGNB gold certificate.
