Deka Immobilien acquires office tower in Amsterdam Zuidas (DE/NL)

Deka Immobilien GmbH has acquired the prime office tower 'The Rock' in Amsterdam Zuidas for €132 million. The seller is Evans Randall, a privately-held UK investment banking and private equity group.

The fully leased property will be an addition to the open-ended mutual property fund WestInvest InterSelect. Completed in 2009 the office building provides 30,000 m² of office space. The main tenant is the international law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. The submarket Amsterdam Zuidas is the prime office location in the Netherlands and renowned for its great infrastructure and accessibility. Jones Lang LaSalle and CBRE have advised the seller in the transaction.

With the acquisition of this prime asset the opend-ended real estate fund WestInvest InterSelect increases its allocation in the Netherlands from 8.1% to 10.5%. Thus continuing its strategy to decrease the portfolio's allocation in Germany and increasing the allocation into newer assets.
