Despite the generally high level of vacancies in the sub-market of Hoofddorp near Amsterdam Airport, the asset management team of DEGI Deutsche Gesellschaft für Immobilienfonds mbH, has agreed a 10-year prolongation of the tenancy agreement with the publishers Sanoma Uitgevers B.V., covering around 30,000 m² of office space.
The subsidiary of the Finnish publishing group SanomaWSOY, which publishes around 60 periodicals, thus remains the single tenant of the office complex, built in 1995 and located to the south of Amsterdam.
With this tenancy success in the Netherlands, the total volume of the new and extended contracts concluded in 2006 at home and abroad for the GRUNDWERT-FONDS rises to 187,300 m², of which around 73,000 m² are located in Europe outside Germany. These tenancy agreements represent an annual rental income for the fund amounting to approximately €25.7 million.
