Debenhams signs at Leamington Shopping Park (UK)

Debenhams has taken 40,000 ft² (approximately 3,700 m²) on a 15 year lease at Gibraltar Limited Partnership’s 135,000 ft² (approximately 12,542 m²) Leamington Shopping Park in Leamington Spa.

The new department store will replace the former Focus unit and joins retailers including New Look, Outfit, Next, Boots, Clarks and Mamas & Papas which has recently opened a 4,000 ft² (approx. 372 m²) store. Refurbishment work has begun on site and the new store is scheduled to open in November.

Dan Clark, Senior Asset Manager for British Land, said: “Debenhams will be a significant anchor for the park and further strengthen the tenant line up. We are delighted to continue our relationship with Debenhams and bring the best names to the scheme.”

“We were really impressed by the quality of the retailers and environment at Leamington Shopping Park. We are delighted to be opening the store before Christmas and it follows our strategy of securing the right store in the right market”

Leamington Shopping Park is located half a mile south of the town center, fronting the A452 and two miles north of junctions 13 and 14 of the M40.

Debenhams represented itself. Wilkinson Williams and CBRE are the agents for Leamington Shopping Park.

Gibraltar Limited Partnership is a joint venture between Hercules Unit Trust (HUT) and The Crown Estate. HUT is advised by British Land and managed by Schroders.
