C&W to lease Ikea Group's shopping gallery extension in Wroclaw (PL)

Cushman & Wakefield will be responsible for the commercialization of a new part of the shopping gallery being developed within the Bielany Retail Park complex near Wroclaw by Inter IKEA Centre Group Polska.

Bielany Retail Park is located at 9 Czekoladowa Street in Bielany Wrocùawskie. Its retail space totals around 80,000 m² and anchor tenants include Tesco, JULA, OBI, H&M, Cubus and Empik. Within Bielany Retail Park, a new IKEA facility is being developed which will be its largest store in Poland. A new shopping gallery to be delivered in 2014 will replace the old building. Upon completion of the extension the complex will provide a total of 145,000 m². The next phases of the development provide for modernization of the old shopping center and extension of the main access road.

The new three-story gallery will house an eight-screen Helios cinema. Around 140 new stores will be added, which will bring the total number of stores to more than 200. The first leases have already been made, among others with Smyk Megastore, Reserved, House, Cropp Town, Mohito, Sinsay, Home & You and Rossmann. Customers will also have access to a larger car park for 4,700 cars, including an underground car park below the new shopping gallery. The concept of the shopping center was developed by BDP while the design was prepared by Group-Arch.

Szymon Ùukasik, Associate, Retail Department of Cushman & Wakefield, said: “Bielany Retail Park was opened in 1998 and following the planned extension it will also offer other top fashion, electronic and homeware brands. It will become the largest shopping center in Poland.”
