C&W strengthens London residential team (UK)

Cushman & Wakefield has boosted its residential team in London with two new hires: Jack Simmons and James Chell who join the firm from JLL.

Jack Simmons joins as a Partner and Head of Residential and will be responsible for spearheading the growth of Cushman & Wakefield’s business in London with a specific emphasis on residential development & investment services. This move will build on the success of Cushman & Wakefield's existing residential team including Partner Toby Greville and Associate Dominic Price, in buying and selling residential development sites across London.

Jack moves to C&W after 11 years at JLL where he was a founding Director of the Residential Investment & Development team. Key mandates have included; Land Securities sale of Bowater House (One Hyde Park), Royal Mail sale of Rathbone Place, Stanhope Gardens sale for £93m and acting for the Crown Estate in the disposal of Merchant Square for £47 million.

James Chell also joins from JLL and has a wealth of first hand developer experience having previously worked as development manager at Southern Housing Group.

Digby Flower, head of London Markets at Cushman & Wakefield said; “Residential is fundamental to the operation of mixed use development and hence a core focus of our London markets growth strategy. We welcome Jack and James as an integral part of our first class London development team led by Robert Murphy and Zoe Bignell and look forward to continue building our residential expertise and market share across the Capital.”
