Corpus Sireo grows its German healthcare portfolio

Corpus Sireo Real Estate has acquired properties in three German federal states for two of its special healthcare property funds. For the "Healthcare III Fund" the Cologne-based real estate investment and asset manager secured medical centres in Bremen and Neumarkt, Bavaria. A senior citizens' residence in Blankenfelde, Brandenburg, was purchased for the "Healthcare II Fund". The purchase price was not disclosed.

 

One of the properties most recently purchased for the "Health Care III Fund" is the Neumarkt medical centre at Regensburger Strasse 109 in Neumarkt/Oberpfalz. The four-storey building, which was completely renovated in 2009, has almost 6,300m² of high-quality rental space. The property is fully let. The company also purchased a medical centre at Parkallee 301 in Bremen. The asset comprises c.4,900m² of rental space and is divided into twelve rental units.

 

Corpus Sireo has also unveiled plans for the acquisition of the senior residence Haus Christo in the Markische Promenade 1 in Blankenfelde, Brandenburg. The Christo house has 94 fully inpatient nursing places and eight units for the assisted living. The building, completed in 2012, comprises almost 5,000m² of rental space. The asset would become the 21st property for "Health Care II Fund".

 

Nikolai Schmidt, Head of Healthcare Investment, Corpus Sireo Real Estate, said: "While the Health Care II Fund is almost fully invested, our two other special funds are in the investment phase. For these funds, we focus on purchases of medical centres, nursing homes and assisted living in Germany. With these investment products, we are also taking up Swiss Life's company-wide guiding theme - longer, self-determined life."
