CORESTATE Capital Group has opened Austria's largest residential complex for students and young professionals in Vienna.
Completed just in time for the 2015/16 winter semester, the new building named ‘Linked Living’ features 589 fully furnished micro apartments, numerous community spaces including learning, TV and laundry lounges as well as a generous rooftop deck that offers a panoramic view of Vienna. In addition, the property’s approximately 1,800m² of commercial space accommodate a coffee shop, a burger place, a gym and a store for activewear and outdoor clothing.
‘Linked Living’ is part of the ‘Messecarree’ urban development project, located in the direct vicinity of the Vienna University of Economics and Business campus, the Austria Center Vienna (ACV), the congress centre and the Prater, Vienna’s famous park and amusement park. The location offers an attractive work and business environment, an abundance of leisure activity as well as excellent accessibility thanks to the two nearby underground stops ‘Messe-Prater’ and ‘Krieau’.
Sascha Wilhelm, CEO of CORESTATE, said: “With close to 600 apartments on 11 floors, ‘Linked Living’ is considered the largest student housing project in Austria. We were able to complete our project development successfully and on budget within a construction period of only 18 months. Based on the current number of tenants and the continuously high interest, we expect to reach full occupancy by early 2016. This dynamic market provides the perfect environment for our investment and for our business model in the field of temporary living.”
Another project highlight is the individual design of a space of approximately 250m² by three young Vienna-based artists. They devised an artistic expression of the object’s name, Linked Living, and translated it into street art.
