CoreNet Global Summit 2011: Social media and the business of creativity (EU)

Promising an expert's insight into social media and corporate culture, and a 'peak behind the curtain' at a Disney theme-park attraction, CoreNet Global has now confirmed details of two of the main sessions planned for this September's Summit in Paris (September 18-20).

Social media expert and former BBC employee Euan Semple will address the Summit on the effective use of social media networking and communication tools in the workplace, exploring how the world's largest and most successful organizations are integrating social media into day to day business practice.

Euan's presentation, 'Culture Connect: Social Media and the World of Work', will focus on how social media tools can transform the way in which we think about organizations and commerce, overviewing both the successes and mistakes made as brands come to terms with this new relationship with their constituents and markets.

Meanwhile, Lisa Spahn, facilitator and consultant from Disney Institute, will take a look at the importance of creativity and how Disney engages its customers through the seamless design of place, elaborate settings and key environmental elements.

Providing a virtual theme park field experience during her presentation entitled 'Creativity and the Disney Story: The Business Behind the Magic', Lisa will explore the Disney approach to maximizing customer experiences and lasting memories.

This year's annual CoreNet Global EMEA Summit has taken as its inspiration the global social change that has led people to connect across cultures and continents on both a personal and corporate level, using new tools to form new alliances and expand their reach.

The event, entitled 'Social Dynamics: Connectivity, Creativity, Relationships' will explore how the world's 'connected culture' continues to evolve, and focus on the tools, knowledge and skills that Corporate Real Estate (CRE) professionals will need to keep pace with such change, across the c-suite, partners, clients, locations and the workplace.

The CoreNet Global EMEA Summit takes place Sunday 18 – Tuesday 20 September at Disney's Newport Bay Club, Paris.
