Cordea Savills further strengthens its French business (FR)

Cordea Savills, the international property investment manager, has appointed Lionel Nicolas as Director of Investment, based in Paris. The appointment follows the recent hire of Clement Pigott as Head of Investment, France and Benelux in March this year.

Nicolas is responsible for acquisitions and implementing asset management initiatives to properties in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Nicolas has over 15 years of investment experience. He joins from Urban Premium where he was joint Managing Director and fund manager of the OPCI Urban Retail Invest, a fund focused on French prime retail properties.

Prior to this, Nicolas was General Manager at Macquarie Countrywide Trust (with AUM of €3.8 billion), where he was responsible for over €500 million of assets and sourcing investment opportunities across Europe.

Previous roles include Head of Retail Investment at Grosvenor Continental Europe and Deputy Manager Corporate Finance Real Estate at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. He started his career with Wilshire, where he gained financial real estate background as a Litigation Asset Manager and he has a Master Degree in law from the Université Paris II.

Clement Pigott commented: "Lionel's appointment reflects the growing importance of France to Cordea Savills' business with increasing assets under management in the wider French and Benelux region. We are very delighted have Lionel with his extensive experience coming on board."
