Cordea Savills appoints two portfolio managers to Italian team (IT)

Cordea Savills, the international property fund manager, has appointed Piergiulio Dentice di Accadia and Daniele Martignetti as portfolio managers. The appointments underscore the expansion of its Milan-based Italian investment and operations teams, which was announced in November 2008.

Piergiulio is Portfolio Manager of the Cordea Savills Italian Opportunities No 2 fund, overseeing the fund's existing assets and taking a lead role in identifying and implementing the strategy to invest undrawn equity.

Piergiulio joined from CB Richard Ellis Investors SGRpA (CBREI), where he worked as a Senior Asset Manager. At CBREI he was responsible for the sourcing of investments, implementing asset management and refurbishment development initiatives and ultimately the sale of completed projects.. Prior to this, he was a Senior Project Manager at Structure Tone, acting on behalf of Tishman Speyer and Credit Suisse, where he was a point of contact for clients and managed various projects. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and holds a degree in civil engineering from Università di Tor Vergata in Rome.

Daniele is Portfolio Manager and will work with the management of Italian residential assets. Prior to joining Cordea Savills, Daniele worked with asset management at Pirelli Real Estate in Italy and Germany. In Germany, Daniele managed c.€350 million of residential assets, mainly located in the Berlin, Saxony and the Baltic area. Prior to this, he was based in Italy where he was responsible for c.€400 million of Italian residential assets. He worked for Pirelli Real Estate from 2002, managing the sale of assets in a residential real estate fund. Daniele holds a degree in Political Science, with a specialisation in international law from Università Statale in Milan.

Both Piergiulio Dentice di Accadia and Daniele Martignetti report to Salvatore Ruoppolo, Head of Investment in Italy.
