Cordea Savills appoints Arnold de Haan as Non-Executive Director (UK)

Cordea Savills, the international property fund manager, has appointed Arnold de Haan as a Non-Executive Director.

In his new role, Arnold will provide strategic advice to the Cordea Savills Group board, which will benefit from his experience and in depth knowledge of European property markets.

Justin O'Connor, Chief Executive Officer for Cordea Savills, commented: "We believe that independent directors provide us with both sound strategic advice and an added level of governance that is appreciated by investors."

Arnold commented: "The property fund management sector is extremely well placed to grow over the next few years as investors increasingly use the asset class to diversify their portfolios. Cordea Savills has a powerful proposition, which means it is particularly well placed to become a leading player in the sector and I am delighted to be a part of that."

Arnold has extensive management experience both internationally and in the property arena and held several senior positions. Currently he runs his own advisory business Boishaen bv and is a director at the MeyerBergman property group. Formerly he was CEO of Multi Corporation. Before that he was member of the board of CommerzGrundbesitzgesellschaft in charge of running the open-ended property fund business for Commerzbank.

Arnold is a member of the international advisory board of EuroHypo and is a fellow of the International Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Arnold de Haan joins David Hunter, who was appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the Cordea Savills board in February 2009. David was previously managing director of Arlington Property Investors and Aberdeen Property Investors.
