Construction work to begin on the Galeria Wisła shopping center in Płock, Poland (PL/IE)

Construction work is to begin on the Galeria Wisla shopping center in Plock, which is being developed by Caelum Development, who took over the project from Grupa Zasada. The Irish developer has a building permit for the 22,600-m² shopping center, which is to stand in the Podolszyce district of the town. The work will begin in April or May, with the opening planned for August 2008.

Caelum Development already has signed leasing deals with the first tenants: Poznañ supermarket chain Piotr i Pawe³ will have a 2,300-m² store in the complex, and RTV Euro AGD will open a 1,200-m² electronic goods outlet.

The company has also announced that it has bought the Wratislavia Centre - a multi-functional complex in Wroclaw with a floor space of more than 30,000 m². The investor purchased the center from Financial Invest Group Dwa for €32 million net.
