A consortium made up of HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung, Norddeutsche Grundvermögen and FRANK Beteiligungsgesellschaft is currently erecting an office and business complex under the name of Metropolis Haus (house) in Hamburg which will have a gross floor space of nearly 25,800 m².
On a plot of land spanning some 2,400 m² in prime location at Dammtorstrasse 29-32, the new complex will have seven standard and two set-back floors. The first floor will be used as retail and catering space. Office space will be available from the second floor. In addition to the traditional Metropolis Kino, the three sublevels will house storage and archive areas and parking facilities for almost 60 vehicles.
"The special location and the quality of the building have convinced us. Metropolis Haus provides optimal conditions for our spacious trading floor," Jochen Winter, Managing Director of Vattenfall Energy Trading, says in explanation of the decision of the company to rent space in the Metropolis Haus.
