Investor confidence, major city delegations and ambitious project presentations were all present in abundance in Cannes this week, as some 18,000 delegates from 81 countries met for business at the 21st edition of MIPIM in Cannes, the world's property market (March 16-19). One of the highlights every year is the prestigious MIPIM Awards, which were presented in a fantastic show in the grand theater of the Palais des Festival.
The MIPIM awards are organized round five real estate categories: Business Centers, Hotels & Tourism Resorts, Green Buildings, Refurbished Office Buildings and Residential Developments. The jury was led by Mrs. Barbel Schomberg, CEO Aberdeen Immobilien KAG; other jury members where: Mr. Max Croft, President RICS; Mr. Olivier Piani, CEO Allianz Real Estate; Mrs. Manuelle Gautrand, architect Manuelle Gautrand, France; Dr. Ann Heywood, Principal, College of Estate Management UK; Mr. Mario Tomaselli, Facility Engineering & Real Estate Manager EMEA, 3M; and Mr. Michael Strong, Chairman & CEO EMEA, UK, CB Richards Ellis.
Brussels and Assar Architects triple winners of MIPIM Awards
For Brussels in Belgium and Assar Architects it became a very special evening; both received three Awards, something that has never happened before in the 21 year long history of the MIPIM Awards. Congratulations Brussels and ASSAR Architects.
