On 15th November, 2006 Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB) and The Association of Real Estate Investment Companies (GYODER) jointly organized the 'Housing Finance and Turkey III'Conference at Swissotel Istanbul,Turkey.
The conference welcomed approx. 700 participants.
The conference was opened by amongst others Haluk Sur, Chairman of GYODER. During the day there were four sessions about the following subjects: Mortgage Finance in EU & US, How Will The Mortgage Markets Shape Up? New Business Opportunities, Capital Markets Instruments For Housing Finance, Forthcoming Mortgage Markets at a Glance: Risks, Expectations, Potentials. Each of the sessions gathered experienced professionals as speakers as well as many international and local investors from respected institutions.
During the day the GYODER Research Report II was introduced by Dr. Can Fuat Gurlesel, President of the Institute of Strategic Researches. The complete report will be published in Turkish at the end of December 2006.
In this professional ambiance, the participants experienced hot discussions on housing finance models, analyzed current situations of some well-known examples of mortgage systems and joined brain-storming about the development of the housing finance system.
