Colliers introduces first high fashion outlet to the Baltic market (LV)

Colliers introduces the first fashion outlet to the Baltic market. The Riga's outlet, located at the territory of the airport Riga, will represent numerous fashion brands, including those available in Palazzo Italia (Ermenegildo Zegna, Iceberg, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Prada, Missoni, D&G, and many others). It s expected that the outlet will start operating in autumn 2007.

Director of Colliers Commercial Premises Department Jekaterina Kosmaèeva explains, "Introduction of the world famous fashion designers to the market is a new stage in the development of a local trade segment. This kind of stores has big promise in the Baltic States and in Latvia in particular, and they will be able to compete with classical trade centers. The moment when a certain market segment share is already occupied has come: there are enough implemented qualitative projects, such as Spice, Domina and Alfa, and interesting projects on the stage of creation, such as Riga Plaza and Akropole. Now it is time to turn attention to another form of area development, including development of trade parks and outlets."

Outlets are usually placed far outside cities, however in this case it is located at the territory of the airportonly, 12 km away from Riga's center.

Representative of the building's operator, director of Global Fashion Group, Roman Rabinovich said that the outlet at the territory of the airport is opening on 1st of November. In addition to that the company is planning to open 4 stores in the center of Riga. Stores Richmond, IT store, Plus IT and Ermenegildo Zegna will be launched already before 1st September of the present year. All the stores will be located on Kr. Barona Street that historically is one of the main retail streets in the Riga city and within the time may become the trade centre particularly for exclusive stores and boutiques.
