Matjaz Cerjak has been appointed Director of the Investment Services Department at Colliers International Moscow.
Maxim Gasiev, Managing Director Colliers International Russia, noted that the company plans to strengthen the cooperation with the main investors and developers and to attract new investment projects under the supervision of Cerjak.
Prior to joining Colliers International Cerjak was Managing Partner and Fund Manager at a London-based Chayton Capital, a private equity real estate fund management company focused on emerging markets Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Africa.
He was Co-Managing the London office of Chayton Capital and managing investment portfolios for Chayton's three real estate funds in Europe, with investments spread over seven markets across CEE and CIS.
Cerjak has sourced, managed and successfully executed several transactions ranging from real estate development deals to private equity buy outs and private public partnerships (PPP) across these markets and negotiated several financing (mezzanine & senior) deals from international financing institutions, funds and local banks.
Cerjak holds a BSc from University of Ljubljana (Corporate Finance) and MBA from London Business School.
