Coldwell Banker Commercial Romania finalizes rental of retail area in City Malls new parking (RO)

City Mall, the commercial center located in southern Bucharest, is celebrating two years in business by launching a 1,000-spot parking space and by signing contracts with new tenants for the newly-created retail space: BCR–Erste Bank, Emporiki Bank, Piraeus Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, Billa, Domo and Casino Max.

The mall's owners have invested €13 million to expand the center. The new structure totals 31,000 m², including an underground level, ground floor, a mezzanine floor and 11 floors. It is directly connected to the current City Mall, on the second floor, through a footbridge with a special architecture. The building is made up of a 25,757-m² parking space with 1,000 places and a retail area of some 5,243 m².

"The new City Mall tenants will enjoy a generous area of retail space, decked in glass, which makes it exceptionally visible from the main access avenues: Oltenitei Road and Serban Voda Avenue. Moreover, the City Mall location is ideal due to intense traffic, both pedestrian and car traffic," says Catalin Secareanu, manager at Coldwell Banker Commercial Romania/ONCOR International, the real estate consultancy and brokerage that arranged the rental of approximately 40% of the retail space of the new construction.

"At this point, 100% of the retail space newly-created by opening the parking space has been rented. In order to provide a full range of services to the City Mall visitors, we are working on expanding the retail area by creating a special space for a fitness center," says Lucian Cretu, Director, Centre Manager, City Mall.
