Cofinimmo SA appoints Jean-Edouard Carbonnelle as Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO (BE)

Following the decision of Serge Fautré to leave Cofinimmo, announced on March 22, the Board of Directors has appointed Jean-Edouard Carbonnelle, currently Chief Financial Officer and Director, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer.

The Board is happy to be able to count on the recognized experience and skills of Jean-Edouard Carbonnelle in order to ensure the continuity of the current company strategy.

Jean-Edouard Carbonnelle: "Cofinimmo has redeployed more than half of its assets in seven years to new real estate sectors which provide a solid cash flow, a long term lease, value protection and risk diversification. I confirm that this strategy will be pursued in the coming years. "

Aged 58, Carbonnelle is Commercial Engineer (Solvay Business School - ULB 1976) and owns a Master of Business Administration (Wharton 1977). He joined Cofinimmo in November 1998. Previously, he worked in the Group of Société Générale de Belgique, first within the holding company itself, then as Director and Chief Financial Officer of Diamant Boart and finally within the financial department of Union Minière. He began his career in the department of industrial and mining projects within the World Bank.
