Cofinimmo acquires two German care facilities

The Cofinimmo Group has acquired two nursing and care homes in Ingolstadt (Bavaria) and Neunkirchen (Baden-Wurttemberg), Germany. The total value of the properties amounts to c. €29m.

Comprising over 5,900m², the first facility offers approximately 110 beds. The building is located in a residential area and, thanks to the train station nearby, easily accessible by public transport. The property is currently leased to ‘Diakonie Ingolstadt’. Cofinimmo expects to invest c.€1 to expand the facility, increasing the bed count up to 125 units.

The second asset, located in Neunkirchen and operated by Glück im Winkel, a subsidiary of Domus Cura, comprises 3,000m² and offers 70 beds. The facility will also be extended to offer 97 beds. The investment will amount up to €4.

Jean-Pierre Hanin, CEO of Cofinimmo, said: “We are pleased to announce the acquisition of these two nursing and care homes in Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg. As a result, we strengthen our equity. Moreover, with Domus Cura, we welcome a new operator in our portfolio. These transactions reflect the active continuation of our growth policy in the healthcare real estate segment in Germany.”
