Sponsored by Bloomberg Television, the award, which is considered among the most prestigious recognition in the real estate industry, was presented at London's Lancaster Hotel on Saturday November 27, 2010.

Davide Padoa - CEO of Design International and partner of DI Leasing - upon receiving the prestigious award, has commented: "We are very grateful to the jury of the International Property Awards who has chosen Cleopatra Mall as the best retail project among highly respectable candidates from more then 110 countries worldwide. This award sets a new benchmark in the history of Design International, who remains committed to deliver the most innovative designs and the best performing developments in the retail and leisure industry.

"I believe that the investment of the owner Mohamed Abou El Enein - chairman of Cleopatra Group will put one of the world's most spectacular civilisation back on what made them unique for millennia: architecture."

After winning 'Best Retail Architecture - Arabia' in Dubai just one month ago, the award was the final round of fierce competition, with entries from many respected Architecture firms competing, including such companies as AEDAS and Benoy. The award jury considered Cleopatra Mall as a new architectural landmark for Egypt and also recognized its unique retail mix concept. The project, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2012, is quickly becoming the talking point of the retail industry.

At MAPIC, the most important exhibition for retail real estate market, Cleopatra Mall was hailed as setting a new benchmark in shopping center design. It has been described as 'a perfect example of what modern shopping center development is all about' (Jones Lang LaSalle) and as 'a colossal mall' with 'a presence of Cleopatra, brought back to life' (www.fashionmagazine.it).

With over 300 shops, its breathtaking outdoor water fountain and multimedia display as well as the iconic canopy, Cleopatra Mall will eventually become the preferred shopping and entertainment destination in Giza, West Cairo - right in the heart of 6th October City.

DI Leasing has already secured a number of high profile tenants in Cleopatra Mall's innovative indoor and outdoor tenant mix, which has given a large emphasis on Leisure, Entertainment, Fine Dining, Gourmet Markets, Fashion and, most surprisingly, Egypt's first dedicated luxury mall inside a shopping center, with its own dedicated valet parking, VIP lounge, spa and press office.
