Chancerygate has been granted planning permission to build a new 12-unit business park totalling 62,324ft² in Chertsey, Surrey. Called Chertsey Business Park, the development will be located within the town’s Hanworth Lane Industrial Estate and feature units ranging from 3,660ft² up to 7,244ft² for B1c, B2 and B8 uses. There will also be the opportunity for some units to be combined with the single largest combined unit possible being 45,586ft²The company has purchased the 2.1-acre site last August and construction is expected to start towards the end of this year. The first units will be available for occupation at the end of 2020.

The development is in the centre of the borough of Runnymede and is half a mile away from Chertsey railway station, which allows travel to London Waterloo in less than one hour. Chertsey Business Park’s location also provides good access to Junction 11 of the M25 and Junction 2 of the M3.

Chancerygate development manager, Matthew Young, said: “Chertsey Business Park is located in the town’s most central industrial area. It is exactly the type of strategic regional location that we seek to develop to meet an area’s business needs. Runnymede Borough Council understands the benefits that developing a site of this size brings in terms of both new business and jobs, so we are very pleased that the planning committee has given us the go-ahead.”
