CEPIF 2007 huge success (PL)

The 4th edition of Central Europe Property & Investment Fair (CEPIF), that took place on June 4-5, 2007 has ended up as a huge success and Warsaw has one again opened the eyes of the global real estate community. In only three years CEPIF has become the third largest property fair in Europe, along with MIPIM in Cannes and EXPO REAL in Munich.

The numbers speak for themselves: over two days the exhibition center was visited by 3,670 people and hosted 200 exhibitors from all over Europe, the majority of them the biggest players like Cushman & Wakefield, DTZ, EuroHypo, TriGranit Development Corporation, Apsys Polska, Yardi, Caelum Development, Salwator Group, Cefic Polska, King Sturge, Deloitte Audyt, Grupa Nikel, KPMG, Day & Johnson, Buro Happold, Savills Poland, Kronos Kapital and TPA Horwath. The wide variety of offers proved to be an excellent occasion to seek investors and buyers or to receive free financial or legal advice.

In addition CEPIF gathered together a significant number of cities interested in gaining business partners. There was a distinctive presence from Polish cities: Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Szczecin, Opole and the Silesia region. The Ukraine was represented by the cities of Odessa and Kazan, Slovakia presented Bratyslava and Great Britain promoted West Midlands Region.

The exhibitors not only promoted their offers but also tried to attract the attendees' interest through their attractive stands. Warsaw Municipality was awarded the Best Stand Prize and TriGranit and the West Midlands Region were runner-ups. The majority of stands offered some additional highlights and cocktails were particularly popular.

Conference
Over two days, in which many experts took part, issues of the highest importance and the latest trends on the market were discussed. The first day went by with lively discussions about the future of the CEE region and every segment of the real estate market. The second day was dominated by the Road to EURO 2012 conference, during which the speakers answered questions concerning the issue of Poland and the Ukraine co-organizing the European Championships.

Seminars
The CEPIF Seminars were an excellent opportunity to have discussions openly with the speakers. Among the most interesting subjects were: the problem of revitalisation, and the future of office blocks and hotels in light of EURO 2012. The seminars' participants were also able to familiarise themselves with the rich offer of the Silesian region.

Gala
The CEPIF Gala Party once again proved to be the most important social event of the year, that presents Warsaw not only as a business center but also a place to have fun. A huge number of people passed through the stylish club that was once a sugar cane factory. Despite the fact that some of the guests partied until the early hours of the morning, during the second day of CEPIF the exhibition hall was equally crowded.

CEPIF & International Herald Tribune CEE Best Developer Awards
The prestigious CEPIF and 'The International Herald Tribune' competition is over. During the lavish gala, crystal awards for best developers were received by the key market figures in six categories.

Two awards were won by TriGranit Development Corporation for their accomplishments in hotels and retail. The statue for best office was received by Hochtief Project Development Poland and ProLogis Central & Eastern Europe enjoyed the highest opinions of the voters in warehouses. ORCO Property Group was announced the best residential developer and Apsys Poland beat all the competition in the revitalisation category.

3rd CE Architectural Academic Awards
During CEPIF 2007, the competition organized by INVI awarded the best projects by young apprentices of architecture. This time the task designated to the competitors was highly ambitious – to create a plan of a city in the CEE region that reflected its soul.
